Historic Groundbreaking Marks the Beginning of a Vision for Mission
On December 10, 2025, a long-awaited dream became reality as the groundbreaking ceremony for the 1000 Missionary Movement (1000MM) Bangladesh Training Center was officially held at the Bangladesh Adventist Seminary and College (BASC) Campus. This historic milestone stands as a powerful testimony to God's faithfulness and the unwavering prayers, dedication, and generosity of His people.
For years, church leaders, missionaries, and supporters have envisioned a training center that would equip and empower young men and women to serve as missionaries across Bangladesh and beyond. Today, that vision has moved from prayer to action as construction begins on a facility that will shape generations of gospel workers for the harvest field.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of respected spiritual leaders and mission partners whose commitment has helped bring this dream to life. Special appreciation is extended to Pastor Ann Chun Soo, whose generous philanthropic support has played a vital role in launching this project. We also express our sincere gratitude to our faithful Korean partners and friends whose prayers, encouragement, and financial contributions have been instrumental throughout this journey.
The groundbreaking service was led by Pastor Choon Ho Cho (Moses), Director of the 1000 Missionary Movement, whose visionary leadership continues to inspire young missionaries around the world. The event was further strengthened by the full support of the Bangladesh Adventist Union Mission (BAUM) leadership, including President Won Sang Kim, Secretary Pastor Benjamin Mrong, and Treasurer Amol Baroi.
As shovels touched the ground, it symbolized far more than the beginning of a construction project. It represented the foundation of a lasting spiritual legacy—a center dedicated to training, mentoring, and sending missionaries to share the hope of Christ in communities throughout Bangladesh and neighboring regions.
The Mission Ahead
While we rejoice in this significant achievement, the journey is not yet complete.
The Training Center now enters its most critical phase: construction and development. To transform this vision into a fully functioning missionary training facility, substantial financial support is still needed. Every classroom built, every dormitory completed, every training resource provided, and every student equipped will directly contribute to the advancement of God's mission.
This center will serve as:
- A training hub for future missionaries and church leaders.
- A spiritual formation center where young people can deepen their relationship with Christ.
- A launching point for evangelistic outreach throughout Bangladesh and beyond.
- A place where generations of workers will be prepared to serve God's kingdom with dedication and excellence.
A Vision for the Future
The 1000MM Bangladesh Training Center is envisioned as a premier institution for missionary preparation, spiritual formation, leadership development, and evangelistic training. Upon completion, the center will provide an environment where young men and women can be equipped intellectually, spiritually, and practically for effective ministry in diverse mission fields.
This facility will serve as a strategic center for training missionaries, nurturing future church leaders, supporting evangelistic initiatives, and strengthening the mission outreach of the Seventh-day Adventist Church throughout Bangladesh and neighboring regions. Through this ministry, countless individuals will be prepared to proclaim the everlasting gospel and bring hope, healing, and transformation to communities in need.
An Invitation to Become a Builder of Mission
Today, we humbly invite churches, organizations, families, and individuals to become partners in this sacred endeavor.
Your contribution is not simply a donation to a building project—it is an investment in souls, in mission, and in eternity. Through your generosity, countless young missionaries will receive training that will enable them to carry the Gospel to unreached communities and transform lives through the power of Christ.
No gift is too small, and no act of generosity goes unnoticed by God. Together, we can complete this training center and create a lasting impact that will extend far beyond our generation.
We Need Your Prayers and Support
As construction moves forward, we earnestly request your continued prayers for:
- God's wisdom and guidance for project leaders.
- Financial provision to complete every phase of construction.
- Safety for all workers and volunteers involved.
- Future students who will be trained and sent into mission fields.
- A powerful spiritual influence that will reach thousands through this ministry.
The foundation has been laid. The vision is clear. The mission is urgent.
Now we invite you to join us in building a center that will prepare faithful workers for God's harvest and advance His kingdom throughout Bangladesh and beyond.
Together, let us turn this vision into a lasting reality.
